Arne Quinze (b. 1971, Ghent) is a Belgian contemporary artist and designer based in Sint-Martens-Latem. While internationally recognized for his monumental wooden installations and large-scale public sculptures, Quinze’s artistic roots are deeply embedded in the intersection of art and functional design. His practice explores the dynamics of social interaction and the structural complexity of organic forms. These themes are distilled in his functional sculptures, such as The Sun Who Never Goes Down, which translate the raw energy and architectural layering of his public interventions into the domestic scale. Quinze’s work challenges the boundaries between autonomous art and design object, emphasizing physical engagement and community.
